Winter Resources

Stir Up Sunday

Stir Up Sunday is a reflective Advent resource exploring how shared rituals, baking, and conversation can prepare both hearts and homes for the Christmas season. Through storytelling, scripture, prayer, and the simple act of making food together, it invites communities to slow down, resist the pressures of consumption, and rediscover Advent as a season of readiness, compassion, wonder, and deeper connection with one another.

Epiphany: Winter Walk

Epiphany & Winter Walk is a reflective resource inviting communities to slow down, wander curiously, and discover signs of God’s presence in the natural world. Through walks, conversation, scripture, and prayer, it explores the journey of the Magi, helping people pay attention to wonder, recognise unexpected places of revelation, and reflect on how faith, creation and community shape the journeys we are on together.

Through journaling, conversation, simple rituals, soup, scripture, and prayer, it invites communities to embrace the art of wintering and discover God’s presence in stillness, warmth, and the small comforts that sustain us through darker seasons.

Candlemas

Rooted in the season's rhythms and perfect for celebrating the turning towards the light on the first Sunday of February. Always a favourite with Hazelnut Bristol, it features a simple yet meaningful candle-making craft that’s fun for all ages, alongside reflections and a candle procession.
