The Potting Shed is for churches, individuals, and small teams who are ready to explore how faith, sustainability, and justice can shape local eco-communities. Whether you're just starting out or already active in creation care, this course gives you the tools, vision, and support to take the next step.
Each place you register includes a +1 free, invite a teammate, friend, or fellow church member to join you at no extra cost.
This is a course designed to help build teams.
Starting date is Tuesday 26th January 2027 from 7pm-9pm

Sessions are interactive and include practical and theological input, reflection, and time to connect with others across the UK.

CREATOR
Learn the foundations of Christian eco-theology and how to integrate this into your church’s rhythms and mission.
CREATION
Build hands on skills in growing food, nurturing biodiversity, and caring for land in a way that reflects your faith.
COMMUNITY
Discover creative ways to gather people with hospitality, nature, faith, and justice at the heart. And connect into a national network of others doing the same.
Cost: Two Ways to Join The Potting Shed
There are two ways to take part in The Potting Shed, depending on what works best for you and your community.
Option 1: Join the Hazelnut Community Network (Recommended)
The best and most affordable way to join The Potting Shed is through membership of the Hazelnut Community Network.
For as little as £10 a month, your church or community gets:
Full access to The Potting Shed programme for two people.
Over 50 resources, including practical guides, theological reflections, and seasonal ideas.
Ongoing support and connection with our growing network of churches and communities across the UK and beyond.
Opportunities to learn, share, and collaborate with others exploring faith, ecology, and community.
And the best part? Your membership and support continue long after The Potting Shed finishes.
Option 2: Pay for The Potting Shed as a Standalone Course
If you'd prefer not to join the Network, you can sign up for The Potting Shed as a standalone programme.
The full cost is £300 (£150 per person), which includes:
Access for two people from your church or community.
6 months of training, including live Zoom sessions, practical and theological content, and seasonal resources.
Connection with a learning community of people growing faith-rooted, land-connected action.
Whichever route you choose, The Potting Shed is about more than training. It's about growing relationships, sharing wisdom, and finding the confidence and support to bring something new to life in your local community.
We don't want cost to be a barrier. If finances are a concern, please get in touch. We'd love to explore how we can make this journey accessible to you.
