The Potting Shed is for churches, individuals, and small teams who are ready to explore how faith, sustainability, and justice can shape local eco-communities. Whether you're just starting out or already active in creation care, this course gives you the tools, vision, and support to take the next step.

Each place you register includes a +1 free, invite a teammate, friend, or fellow church member to join you at no extra cost.
This is a course designed to help build teams.

Starts 16th September 2025 from 7pm - 9pm

  1. Held monthly on Zoom

  2. Sessions are interactive and include practical and theological input, reflection, and time to connect with others across the UK.

  3. Exact dates will be confirmed soon.

* Can’t make this? Dont worry we will also have training starting in January

The course is built around three pillars: Creator, Creation, and Community.

CREATOR

Learn the foundations of Christian eco-theology and how to integrate this into your church’s rhythms and mission.

CREATION

Build hands on skills in growing food, nurturing biodiversity, and caring for land in a way that reflects your faith.

COMMUNITY

Discover creative ways to gather people with hospitality, nature, faith, and justice at the heart. And connect into a national network of others doing the same.

What do I recieve at the end?

At the end of the Potting Shed course, you’ll receive the Hazelnut Potting Shed Diploma, a symbol of your commitment to growing faith-filled, land-connected, mission-rooted community.

But it’s more than just a certificate.

It represents:

  • A year of learning, reflection, and action

  • A deepened understanding of eco theology and your role in God’s work of renewal

  • Practical tools to help your church or community live out creation care every season

  • A local project or idea that you’ve discerned, started, or are ready to launch

  • A place in the growing Hazelnut Network — a national community of churches and individuals walking the same path

This isn’t just about information, it’s about formation. By the end, you’ll be rooted, equipped, and ready to keep growing.

Cost

The full cost of the Potting Shed course is £300 — that’s £150 per person for a year of training, resources, and support.

Each registration includes:

  • Access for two people — bring a teammate, friend, or fellow church member

  • 12 months of live Zoom sessions, practical and theological content, and seasonal resources

  • A space in a national learning community growing faith-rooted, land-connected action

  • A path toward receiving the Hazelnut Potting Shed Diploma at the end of the course

This is more than just training, it’s investment in long-term vision, support, and transformation in your local context.

If cost is a concern, we’d love to hear from you. We’re committed to making this journey as accessible as possible.
