Renewing Church Land for People, Nature, and Climate

Contributors

Sharon Hall

Sharon is Bright Now Campaign Officer for Operation Noah, a Christian charity working with the Church to inspire action on the climate emergency. She authored the recent report ‘Church Land and the Climate Crisis’ drawing on thorough research and contributions from experts in the field. Chair of her university People & Planet society, Sharon has campaigned and worked in a range of areas relating to the broad theme of justice and volunteered with the Tearfund team at COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021.

Margot Hodson

Margot is Director of Theology and Education at the John Ray Initiative, an educational charity that combines science, environment and the Christian faith for sustainability and action. She teaches Environmental Theology and Rural Ministry at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, and is also a part-time vicar in Oxfordshire. She is married to Martin, who is a scientist and they have published several books together. Margot has been passionate about environmental issues since her teens and sees this as an integral part of her lifestyle and her Christian faith.

Alan Radbourne

Alan is a science project manager for UKCEH based in North Wales working on projects involving sustainable land management and regenerative agriculture, practising some of these principles on his own 12-acre small holding in the beautiful location of Anglesey. However, the job is not what took Alan to Anglesey (although it has been a great blessing!), in 2017 he and his wife Rachel planted a new expression of church on the island called Lighthouse Church Anglesey. He now juggles scientific research, church leadership, small holding life and a young family with three ‘mighty men’, busy but a great adventure!
