Hazelnut Community Bristol
Hazelnut Community Bristol is the first Hazelnut Community. Located in East Bristol it is church plant based around a vibrant community garden.
It is also the place for experimenting with many of the ideas that influence the Hazelnut Community Network.
Hazelnut Community DRC
(Democratic Republic of the Congo)
Hazelnut DRC exists to help plant, encourage, and resource garden churches across the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo).
We are working to develop a network of creation-caring churches that share the vision and mission. We will also be working with schools and community resources to help each church to install and grow the designs of their models of family or community ecosystem gardens, including woodlands, orchards, and biogas digesters.
‘I long to see the churches celebrating the Creator in gardens. I can’t wait to see churches celebrating worship during the seasons of sowing and harvesting and prayer for good rain. Yes each carry on with discipleship and community outreach that influence families to install garden on their residential plots as act of worship and service to Co creatures and faith based response to food insecurity and energy inaccessibility, degradation of soil, loss of vegetation and forest, loss of local biodiversity, biodegradable waste dumping, and fight against climate change.’
Hazelnut Community St. Barnabas, Warmley, St. Anne’s, and Syston
Our collection of Churches is located in East Bristol. We are a small committed team at St. Barnabas’ Church, Warmley. We are working towards our Eco Church Silver Award. We are trying to expand our community garden to benefit the local community and green our churchyard. We are working in conjunction with St. Anne’s Church in rural Syston. And we are excited to be a part of the Hazelnut Network!
Saint Leonard’s
Sheffield
At St Leonard's our church garden and Wild Church gatherings are a key part of who we are. We gather monthly outdoors for all age worship and have recently started using the Hazelnut resources which has helped deepen how we engage kids and adults with creation and creator. Our garden is used by lots of community groups and a weekly gardening club do a fantastic job at maintaining it and helping us grow fruit and veg for the wider church community to enjoy. We have big dreams including a trim trail, pond and more food growing! www.saintleonards.co.uk

St. Aidan’s Community Garden

We are creating a garden for the local community so that they have a lovely space to grow vegetables, flowers etc. It is a lovey peaceful space for people to connect with themselves and nature.
