Hannah Malcolm is an ordinand in the Church of England and is an AHRC funded PhD candidate at the University of Durham. Her research focuses on a theology of a climate and ecological grief. She recently edited Words for a Dying World: Stories of Grief and Courage from the Global Church (SCM Press 2020).
Tim is a botanist who gained a PhD in biogeography from Kings College London after completing a Masters in Environmental Economics. He worked at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for ten years and is now undertaking research into grasslands with the Czech Academy of Sciences. While living in London, Tim was involved with CofE churches and got an insight into its organisation by sitting on church committees. Tim is interested in the rather hidden world of land ownership and is keen to explore how greater openness in church land ownership could allow churches to play a greater role in forging a more equal and sustainable future.
