Come along to our conversation around diversity. Nature models diversity in that a healthy ecosystem is biodiverse. What can we learn from the voice of nature and see our communities thrive by encouraging diversity?

Mark Nam is an Anglican Priest in the Diocese of Bristol. He was born in South Wales but is originally of Chinese descent. Mark is a member of the College of Archbishop’s Evangelists and a Minority Ethnic Champion for Bristol Diocese. He is also an executive member of AMEN (the Anglican Minority Ethnic Network) and the founder of The Teahouse, a group that supports ministers with Chinese heritage. Before training for ordination Mark was a pastor at a large church in Hong Kong. He has lectured on Diversity at Trinity College, Bristol and East-Asian Theology at Rippon College, Cuddeston. Mark is a regular contributor to BBC Radio Bristol and has written for Preach Magazine. Mark is married to Kayi and they have three young children. Ray Lei, now living in the UK, was originally from China and lived in Hong Kong for more than 40 years. Ray’s an activist in environmental protection especially working on climate change issues with an international organisation and also advocating on creation care as a Christian.
